Installed in the third stage of the BioLife aquarium filter, the mechanical duo-density/carbon cartridge thoroughly and efficiently removes any fine sediments that escape the first two stages of the filter's mechanical media. In addition, carbon granules inside the cartridge's huge internal carbon matrix absorb liquified wastes, medications and dyes. The precise combination of micro and macro pores absorbs all sizes of liquified waste and gaseous impurities in the water stream before before it reaches the final "dry" chamber of the filter. The replacement pack includes three custom-sized cartridges exclusively designed for the BioLife filter.
