Algae is produced when the aquarium is not correctly balanced. Causes of an unbalanced aquarium are excessive feeding, to many fish, excessive lighting or to much fertilization. 

AlgExit is safe and effective for combating almost all types of algae in freshwater aquarium. Algae such as beard, brush and filament algae are all easily wiped out. AlgExit is easy and economical to use and is harmless to fish, shrimps and other plants. The algae growth is first brought to a standstill and then will disappears, any other algae spores that are still in the water will be removed.
